Metzler Equities successful in the large caps category in the equity analysts award of Börsen-Zeitung
For the second time this year, Metzler Equities has performed well in a ranking of analysts. In the equity analysts award of Börsen-Zeitung, Bankhaus Metzler gained three leading places in the category „Best Recommendations by Sector – Large Caps absolute“, ranking in first place for the financial services sector and in third place for each of the automobile and technology sectors. In the three previous years, Metzler had been among the best research firms in several sectors that were ranked in the equity analysts award of Börsen-Zeitung.In its rankings for large caps, Börsen-Zeitung scrutinised the research performance of 36 firms in 2008. The rankings were based on an analysis carried out by ISFA, a sub-sidiary of the Swiss Analysts‘ Association, for performance measurement in equity research. The results gave an indication of the accuracy of recommendations.
With these good results, Metzler was distinguished for a second time this year in a ranking of analysts – in April the Bank was placed third in a ranking of Handelsblatt newspaper of the best securities research firms.
