Metzler Equities ranked third
The German business newspaper “Handelsblatt” and the US analysis company Starmine rank the best brokers and analysts for German equitiesMetzler Equities came third overall with a total of seven rankings.The Metzler analysts ranked in 2006 among the top “Earnings Estimators” and “Stock-Pickers” were Martina Jung (utilities), Jürgen Pieper (autos), Karl-Heinz Scheunemann (healthcare) and Markus Turnwald (industrial stocks), some of whom received multiple rankings.This is a big improvement on the previous year, when Metzler Equity came seventh overall with three rankings.
The awards are based on an analysis performed by Starmine for the Handelsblatt newspaper, which evaluated the quality of stock recommendations and the accuracy of earnings forecasts.Starmine’s analysis covered some 700 analysts at 65 institutions.
