Metzler Equities ranked fourth

The German business newspaper “Handelsblatt” and the US analysis company Starmine rank the best brokers and analysts for German equities

Metzler Equities came fourth overall with a total of six rankings. The Metzler analysts ranked in 2007 for “Best earnings forecasts” and “Best equity recommendations" were Jürgen Pieper (autos), Karl-Heinz Scheunemann (healthcare), Jochen Schmitt (banking/financial services and real estate) and Ulrich Trabert (software & IT services), some of whom were rated in both categories. For the past three years, Metzler has consistently been among the Top Ten in these analyst ratings conducted by Starmine and the Handelsblatt newspaper.

The rankings are based on an analysis performed by Starmine for the Handelsblatt newspaper. The analysis of the quality of equity recommendations in 2007 covered around 750 analysts while the analysis of the accuracy of earnings forecasts covered 1,200 professionals at around 100 brokerage houses.
