We are committed solely and entirely to our clients
Bankhaus Metzler has been independent for more than 330 years and is owned exclusively by the Metzler family. Over the centuries the business philosophy of our company has been geared towards preserving this independence. The most appropriate means for achieving this is long-term business success. For us, our independence lies at the center of our corporate culture. And our clients have a great advantage to gain from this: advice without conflict of interest.

The entire capital of our company has been in the hands of the Metzler family for the last eleven generations; we do not have any external shareholders.

To avoid conflict of interest and to guarantee truly objective advice, the bank purposely does not engage in business activities such as a syndicate bank in IPOs, and it also refrains from own-account securities trading.

For decades we have not been operating any significant lending business and have consciously refrained from accepting any Supervisory Board mandates.
