Metzler Asset Management holt zum 1. September 2022 mit Dr. Philipp Finter einen weiteren Experten für Nachhaltigkeit und Asset Management an Bord und baut das im Juli 2019 gegründete Sustainable Invest­ment Office (SIO) weiter aus. Finter wird schwerpunktmäßig für die ESG-Research-Initiativen zuständig sein und die Integration von ESG-Indikatoren im Portfoliomanagement weiterentwickeln.

Der promovierte Volkswirt bringt mehr als 15 Jahre Erfahrung im Research und Portfoliomanagement mit. Als Executive Partner der HQ Asset Management GmbH war er für die Konzeption und das Management von Aktien- und Multi-Asset-Portfolios verantwortlich sowie für die Entwicklung der Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie. Als langjähriger Leiter Investmentstrategie Research des Bankhauses Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. steuerte er u.a. Multi-Asset-Mandate und betreute nationale wie internationale Kunden im Asset & Wealth Management.

Metzler Asset Management: Dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit verpflichtet

Das Thema Nachhaltigkeit spielt bei der Metzler Asset Management GmbH seit über 20 Jahren eine wichtige Rolle. Das Unternehmen zählt seit 2012 zu den Unterzeichnern der UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) und gehört seit November 2021 der Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative an. Inzwischen setzt der Asset-Manager in einem mehrstufigen Prozess bei allen fundamental und diskretionär gesteuerten Aktien-, Renten- und Multi-Asset-Fonds eine vollständige ESG-Integration um; die Metzler-Sustainability-Fonds sind entsprechend Artikel 8 der EU-Offenlegungsverordnung klassifiziert. Seit September 2021 ergänzt der Publikumsfonds Metzler Global Ethical Values (Artikel 9) die Produktpalette. Der Fonds senkt durch klimabezogene Ausschlusskriterien den CO2-Fußabdruck im Portfolio signifikant und berücksichtigt strenge ESG-Kriterien ethisch-nachhaltiger Anleger. In institutionellen Mandaten werden die vielschichtigen kundenspezifischen Anforderungen an die nachhaltige Kapitalanlage berücksichtigt – jederzeit abgestimmt auf das individuell gewünschte Rendite-Risiko-Profil des Portfolios.
