Euphorie am Anleihemarkt

Seit Auflegung 2017 erzielte die 100-jährige österreichische Staatsanleihe ein Kursplus von 100 % – ein Symptom dafür, dass Anleihekurse weltweit durch hohe Kapitalzuflüsse nach oben katapultiert werden. Deutet die Euphorie an den Anleihemärkten auf eine Rezession hin oder ist sie eher ein Warnsignal für eine Übertreibung? Dieser Frage geht Edgar Walk, Chefvolkswirt Metzler Asset Management, im aktuellen Kapitalmarktausblick nach. Zudem wirft er einen Blick nach Italien und in die USA: In beiden Ländern dürften die politischen Risiken geringer werden. Ob Großbritannien einen harten Brexit vollzieht oder andere Wege gefunden werden, dürfte sich vermutlich erst Ende Oktober entscheiden.

Edgar Walk joined Metzler in 2000. As Chief Economist in the asset management division, he is responsible for formulating our global economic outlook. Due to his close cooperation with the portfolio management, he focuses on capital market themes as well as on global economic analyses. Mr. Walk holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Tübingen in Germany and spent a semester at the University of Doshisha in Kyoto, Japan. In addition, he completed the program “Advanced Studies in International Economic Policy Research“ at the Institute of World Economy in Kiel, Germany.
