SFC Energy AG, a globally leading company specializing in mobile energy solutions and power management, decided in June of 2019 to increase its share capital by EUR 2,700,000 to EUR 12,949,612. Acting as global coordinators, Dutch company ABN AMRO and COMMERZBANK bought the new shares and offered them, with the exception of a residual amount, to existing shareholders for subscription at a ratio of 4:1 in the form of indirect preemption rights. Before the subscription offer started, the new shares were made available to qualified investors by way of private placements. Metzler Capital Markets advised SFC Energy AG in this capital increase and acted as selling agent for distributing the shares to be placed. In this role, Metzler supported global coordinators ABN AMRO and COMMERZBANK and ensured additional demand from institutional investors for the new shares within the framework of private placements.
As part of the capital increase, 2,700,000 new bearer shares were issued with a proportionate amount in SFC Energy AG’s share capital of EUR 1.00 each. The gross proceeds amounted to EUR 27 million. With this revenue, the company plans to accelerate organic growth in its core markets, introduce newly developed hydrogen fuel cell solutions, and finance potential strategic acquisitions and participations.
