Metzler Corporate Finance advises WIND-projekt

Metzler Corporate Finance is advising WIND-projekt on the sale of an onshore wind portfolio with a total capacity of approximately 380 MW to Blue Elephant Energy.

Since 1994, WIND-projekt has been driving the energy transition forward: with its own team, innovative solutions, and the integration of electricity, heat, and mobility. Together with partners and through research, sustainable, holistic energy concepts are developed.

Blue Elephant Energy develops, acquires, and operates solar and onshore wind farms as well as battery storage solutions with a focus on the European market. Since its founding in 2016, BEE has established itself as a leading independent power producer (IPP) and, upon completion, will have an installed capacity of 2.1 GW and a project pipeline of 9.5 GW.

The portfolio comprises 37 onshore wind farms totaling 260 MW, as well as 4 under construction (46 MW, commissioning in 2026) and 3 ready for construction (75 MW, commissioning in 2027). The facilities generate green electricity annually for approximately 330,000 households. They benefit from attractive locations, a stable EEG framework, and long-term repowering prospects.

Metzler Corporate Finance supported WIND-projekt as the exclusive M&A advisor for the transaction. The successful completion of the transaction confirms the firm’s competitive position in the renewable energy transaction market, which has been built up over the past few years.
