The small- and mid-cap segment – companies with small to medium market capitalization – is highly multifaceted. Many small- and mid-caps stand out with innovative business models, long-term strategy, sound financials, and high growth potential.
For our small-and-mid-cap strategies, we seek out companies with a focused business model and a strong position in their respective niches. Our experience and analysis process allow us to consistently capitalize on return opportunities in this information-inefficient market segment. We select companies where we believe their potential is not yet fully reflected in their valuations – “Growth at a Reasonable Price.”
Our goal: To identify and combine the potential of lesser-known companies.
European small- and mid-cap universe is large and diverse, offering opportunities that can go unnoticed. It includes smaller companies with a high degree of adaptability and the potential to grow independently of the economic cycle.
Compared to larger-cap competitors, European small-and-mid-caps demonstrate structurally higher earnings growth. Combined with a portfolio broadly diversified across sectors and business models, this creates a fundamentally sound risk-return profile.
Active judgment and direct access to company management are particularly important in this inefficient market segment. Drawing on many years of experience and using specially developed analytical tools and processes, we have gained a deep understanding of business models and can identify their potential.
