When investments are managed across multiple mandates, managers, and asset classes, the quality of the data determines the quality of the oversight.
As mandates, managers, and requirements grow, it's worth taking a closer look at the platform behind them. Together, we assess whether your current structure provides the oversight you need. Talk to us.

How e-reporting, ad hoc analyses, and consolidated reports can support decision-making.
Customize reportingInstitutional investments are often spread across multiple special funds, segments, external asset managers, direct investments, custodians, and internal systems. This creates not only large volumes of data, but also numerous interfaces, reconciliations, and responsibilities.
As a Master KVG, Metzler provides a common operational foundation. We consolidate fund administration, data flows, and reporting processes so that information is consistent, transparent, and usable by different stakeholders.
The result is a structure that reduces administrative effort and provides a reliable basis for decision-making in controlling, risk management, and investment committees.
A Master KVG is valuable when it delivers more than fund administration and reporting. It provides full visibility into how assets are performing across special funds, segments, asset managers, and asset classes.
Metzler provides the foundation for this with consistent data, coordinated processes, and analysis that supports decision-making. This makes it possible to compare mandates, assess risks, monitor investment limits, and provide committees with reliable information.
Large investment volumes, multiple special funds, or additional direct investments require a structure that brings assets together. Depending on the situation, this can be achieved through a legal master fund, a fund-of-funds structure, or a virtual reporting unit.
This creates a consolidated view across all vehicles, managers, asset classes, and direct investments – from equities and bonds to derivatives and alternative investments such as private equity, private debt, real estate, infrastructure, and commodities.
What Metzler provides:
Metzler provides the administrative platform for your special fund structure – for example, through one or more legally independent master funds. This includes accounting, valuation, data management, coordination with custodians, and ongoing data quality assurance.
For special funds as well as master and fund-of-funds structures, solutions need to fit the investor’s organization. Together with you, we select the components from our range of services that your structure requires – and expand them as needed.
We support you from fund setup through ongoing operations and coordinate collaboration between the investor, asset manager, custodian, and other service providers.
Dedicated contacts are available to support you with strategic and operational matters. Your Client Account Manager coordinates all matters relating to your Master KVG mandate and, where necessary, ensures that additional experts are involved – for example, in overlay management, transition management, pension management, ESG, tax, accounting, IFRS, or risk measurement.
We also provide structured support when setting up or transferring existing mandates – from the master fund structure to reporting and interface requirements.
