Metzler Asset Management erhält Scope Award

Bei der Verleihung der Scope Awards 2023 am 17. November 2022 in Berlin ist Metzler Asset Management abermals als „Bester Asset Manager ESG Aktienfonds“ ausgezeichnet worden. „Wir freuen uns sehr über den Award – damit wird von unabhängiger Seite unsere ESG-Kompetenz bei Aktienstrategien gewürdigt“, so Dr. Rainer Matthes, CIO der Metzler Asset Management GmbH. „Unser Ziel ist es, durch die konsequente Umsetzung von Nachhaltigkeit im Investmentprozess unserer Sustainability-Fonds für unsere Kunden das Risiko-Rendite-Profil der Portfolios zu verbessern. Unser ESG-Ansatz wurde bereits mehrfach von unabhängigen Agenturen und Institutionen ausgezeichnet – auch bei der aktuellen UN PRI-Bewertung erhielt Metzler Asset Management in sechs Kategorien die höchste Beurteilung von fünf Sternen“, erläutert Daniel Sailer, Leiter des Sustainable Investment Office im Metzler Asset Management.

Scope: Basis der Awards sind umfassende qualitative und quantitative Analysen

Jedes Jahr zeichnen die Analysten von Scope gemeinsam mit ihrem Medienpartner Handelsblatt die herausragenden Asset-Manager und Investmentkonzepte in mehreren Kategorien aus. Für die traditionsreiche Auszeichnung müssen sich die Asset-Manager im Rahmen der Teilnahme- und Nominierungsbedingungen qualifizieren. Die Analysten von Scope bewerten neben quantitativen auch umfassend qualitative Aspekte, was eine in die Zukunft gerichtete Einschätzung der Qualität von Fonds und Asset-Managern ermöglicht. Bereits in den vergangenen Jahren gehörte Metzler Asset Management in verschiedenen Fonds- und Asset-Manager-Kategorien zu den Gewinnern des Scope Awards.

Metzler Asset Management: Dem Thema Nachhaltigkeit verpflichtet

Das Thema Nachhaltigkeit spielt bei der Metzler Asset Management GmbH seit über 20 Jahren eine wichtige Rolle. Das Unternehmen zählt seit 2012 zu den Unterzeichnern der UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI) und ist im November 2021 der „Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative“ beigetreten.
