Die deutschen Exporte nach China sind eingebrochen, obwohl die Wirtschaft dort nach einer restriktiven Covid-Politik wieder anzieht. Wie kann das sein? Ist „Made in Germany“ nicht mehr attraktiv?

Woran es liegen kann, erklärt Edgar Walk, Chefvolkswirt von Metzler Asset Management, im Börsenstudio des Deutschlandfunks in Frankfurt. „China hat insgesamt weniger importiert im 1. Quartal, nicht nur aus Deutschland“, konstatiert der Kapitalmarkt-Experte. Er erklärt im Gespräch mit Nicholas Buschschlüter, dass Deutschland in der Vergangenheit größtenteils Autos in die Volksrepublik exportiert habe. Nun habe China die Bundesrepublik jedoch überholt und ist größter Autoexporteur weltweit.
